LATE FEES, PENALTIES & DISCONNECTS FOR NON-PAYMENT WILL RESUME

The Town of Front Royal Department of Finance will resume assessing late fees/penalties for delinquent utility accounts and disconnections due to non-payment effective Monday, April 12, 2021. 

Amidst the pandemic, the Town of Front Royal has continued to mail delinquent notices to all utility accounts that are past due. The Town of Front Royal utility bills and delinquent notices that will be mailed in April 2021 will reflect dates in which late fees/penalties will be assessed and dates in which disconnections due to non-payment will occur. 

The Town of Front Royal understands that some citizens may be faced with economic hardships related to COVID-19.  The Town of Front Royal’s COVID-19 Municipal Utility Relief Program may be able to provide financial assistance to Town of Front Royal account holders experiencing economic hardships related to COVID-19 and have a balance that is 30 or more days past due.  Further information regarding the program can be found at www.frontroyalva.com

If you find yourself unable to pay your utility bill, please do not wait until payment is due to ask for help.  Please contact the Town of Front Royal Department of Finance as soon as possible at (540) 635-7799.  The Department of Finance can try to find an accommodation for your individual situation by allowing for a partial payment to be made at a later time and avoid disconnection of services due to non-payment.
