All full-time regular and part-time regular employees and their eligible dependents are eligible for enrollment in the Town's health, vision and dental service plan. Eligibility begins on the first day of the month following the date of hire. The cost for this benefit is currently shared by the employee and the Town. Regular part-time employees receive half of the costs paid by the Town. Employer and employee contributions are determined by the Town Council annually and are subject to change.
The Town's group health insurance is administered by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield through The Local Choice. The plan includes dental coverage administered by Delta Dental and vision care administered by Blue View Vision.
Full-time employees may participate in the short-term disability insurance program at their option and cost. Participating employees will receive 60% of their base weekly earnings beginning on the first day of total disability for a non-job related injury or accident, and 60% of their base weekly earnings beginning on the eighth day of total disability for a non-job related illness. Benefit payments are made for up to 26 weeks. Monthly premiums are based on the employee's base annual salary.
Employees may participate in AFLAC at their option and cost. A number of protection plans are offered through payroll deduction to all full-time and part-time Town employees.
