FRONT ROYAL HAS THE LOWEST RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC RATES IN VIRGINIA!!

The Town owns and operates a wastewater treatment plant to treat sewage from its residents and County customers. The plant is rated to treat 4.0 million gallons of wastewater per day (mgd). The Town has initiated a preliminary design effort to increase the treatment capacity, as well as meet the stringent requirements for discharging treated effluent into a tributary of the Chesapeake Bay.

The environmental quality of the water produced is in accordance with the rigorous standards established by the Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality and the United States Environmental Protection Agency to assure safety to the consumer and the environment.
