FRONT ROYAL HAS THE LOWEST RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC RATES IN VIRGINIA!!

The Vehicle Maintenance Division of the Department of Public Works maintains the fleet of vehicles and motorized equipment of the Town of Front Royal. The garage is located at the Public Works complex on Crosby Road.

A superintendent, three mechanics and a part-time administrative assistant are responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and record keeping for the vehicles and equipment in nine Town departments. An extensive program of preventative maintenance enables the Town to prolong the life expectancy of the fleet.

Whether a vehicle is powered by gasoline, diesel fuel or propane, the Town mechanics are qualified to work on it. The newly installed, OSHA approved paint booth helps keep the body work in-house, saving taxpayers the cost of third-party contracts. The shop performs its own state inspections; and, the mechanics frequently attend training courses that keep them up to date with the latest trends in the industry.
