FRONT ROYAL HAS THE LOWEST RESIDENTIAL ELECTRIC RATES IN VIRGINIA!!

The Front Royal Memorial Trees Program is administered by the Beautification of Front Royal Committee for local residents, businesses and organizations interested in planting a tree or bush in memory or in honor of a loved one. The program is designed to aid in preserving fond memories of past family and friends, to honor special individuals, and to assist in the reforestation of the Town. The Beautification of Front Royal Committee, with approval from the Town’s Horticulture Division, will plant and individually maintain trees and bushes recommended on the Town of Front Royal’s approved species list within the Town’s Right-of-Way. Individual requests for locations and species will be accommodated as much as possible, and will hopefully compliment the Town's goal of planting the right tree in the right location. A certificate identifying the contributor and the individual honored or memorialized is recorded with the Warren Heritage Society.

The following administrative guidelines have been established to assist any individuals interested in participating in this program:

A one-time, tax-deductible contribution to the Beautification of Front Royal Committee of $100.00 is required to dedicate and plant one (4 - 6)' tall tree. This cost also includes all maintenance, mulch, and fertilizer provided by the Town.

A one-time, tax-deductible contribution to the Beautification of Front Royal Committee of $50.00 is required to dedicate and plant one five (5) gallon bush. This cost also includes all maintenance, mulch, and fertilizer provided by the Town.

Upon receiving a completed request form and contribution, the Beautification of Front Royal Committee will select the plant and determine the appropriate location with the Town. (Trees will only be planted during the months of October through March.)

An acknowledgement will be mailed to the family of the deceased or of the individual being honored, and a certificate will be mailed to the individual(s) responsible for the contribution. (Group contributions - please specify one individual or group to receive a certificate.)

The Warren Heritage Society will maintain a copy of the certificate in a permanent record. The register lists the names of individuals for which a tree has been planted, date of planting and the name of the individual or group responsible for each contribution.

All plantings will be maintained by the Town’s Horticulture Division.
