The Town currently is using ArcView 9.1 and AutoCAD 2005 as the platforms for generating communication documents. These electronic tools were used to develop several of the map images incorporated into this website, as well as displays used at Town Council presentations.

Notes:

All coordinates values are based on the Virginia HARN network monumentation values for the Virginia State Plane Virginia North Zone, NAD 83 Datum, US Survey Foot Units. Final elevation values will be relative to the North American Vertical Datum of 1988 (NAVD88).

The photometric survey scale is 1"=350' and the minimum accuracy is the National Map Accuracy Standards for 1"=50' mapping.

Aerial photography products are available as ".tif" or ".sid" files. Per panel digital GIS products are available as ESRI coverages. Town-wide digital GIS products are available as ESRI coverages, shapefiles, or AutoCAD ".dwg" files. Data is distributed on CD-ROM.
