The Department of Environmental Services is responsible for construction efforts conducted by Town staff and contracted forces.
For projects to be contracted out, the project design is completed by Town staff or consultants. Proposals for the construction of the project is advertised and interested construction companies submit bids for evaluation.

The Department of Environmental Services regulates all construction activity within the Town Right-of-Way. Construction, road closures, or restriction of on-street parking or sidewalks require a permit issued by the Department.
