Chapter 66 DOGS AND OTHER ANIMALS.
Section 66-11 RABIES.
Any dog which is known to be suffering from rabies, or which is suspected of suffering
such disease, shall be at once confined by the owner until it is definitely known whether the
animal is so infected. If it is found to have such disease, the owner shall at once cause such
animal to be killed and the body to be burned or buried. In the event of the failure of the owner
to obey the terms of this section, the police may cause such animal to be killed or confined under
order of the Chief of Police.
