Chapter 34 PRECINCTS.
Section 34-6 SHENANDOAH PRECINCT.
The Town of Front Royal Shenandoah Precinct shall include all of that portion of
the
Shenandoah Election District, as defined by Section 16-3 of the Warren County, Virginia, Code,
located within the corporate limits of the Town of Front Royal, as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the center lines of East 8th Street and North Commerce
Avenue, such point being at the point of intersection of the North River Election District
and the Shenandoah Election District, thence with the North River Election District as follows:
easterly with the center line of East 8th Street to its intersection with Happy Creek, thence
northerly with Happy Creek to the overpass of the Norfolk Southern Railroad, thence northerly
along the center of the Norfolk Southern Railroad track to a crossing in the railroad tracks,
thence north-eastward along the center of that Norfolk Southern Railroad track which crosses the
Shenandoah River just east of the confluence of the North and South Forks of the Shenandoah
River at a point in the Town boundary of the Town of Front Royal, thence southeasterly and
southerly and easterly and northeasterly along the Town boundary to the center line of
Shenandoah Shores Road, then south along the center line of Shenandoah Shores Road to a point
where the Town boundary departs from Shenandoah Shores Road, then easterly and southerly
along the Town boundary to the center line of Happy Creek Road, thence following the center of
Happy Creek Road southwestward to its intersection with Polk Avenue, thence southeasterly
along the center line of Polk Avenue to its intersection with Braxton Road, thence easterly
along
the, center of Braxton Road to its intersection with Leach Street thence south along the center of
Leach Street to its intersection with Horseshoe Drive, thence along the center of Horseshoe Drive
east then south then west to the intersection of
Horseshoe Drive and North Easterly Street, thence south along the center of North Easterly
Street to its intersection with East Stonewall Drive, thence southwesterly along the center line of
East Stonewall Drive to its intersection with South Commerce Avenue, such point being the
intersection of the Happy Creek Election District, the Shenandoah Election District, and the
South River Election District, thence north along the center of North Commerce Avenue to its
intersection with East 8th Street the point of beginning.
