Section 175-105 OFF-STREET LOADING.
A.
On the same premises with every building, structure or
part thereof erected and occupied for uses involving the
receipt or
distribution of vehicles, materials or merchandise, there shall be
provided and
maintained on the lot adequate space for standing, turning, loading and
unloading
services in order to avoid interference with public use of the streets
and
alleys.
B.
Such space or spaces shall be a minimum of fifteen (15)
feet wide and fifty-five (55) feet in length, with a minimum clear
height of
fifteen (15) feet. Off-street truck loading space shall be
provided at a
rate of one (1) space for the first ten thousand (10,000) square feet
or less
of gross floor area, plus a minimum of one (1) additional space for
each
additional forty thousand (40,000) square feet of gross floor area or
part
thereof. For the purpose of this section, "gross floor area"
shall also include gross outdoor storage area, whether covered or
uncovered.
