Chapter 148 SUBDIVISION AND LAND DEVELOPMENT. (updated 7-28-08)

Section 148-36 UTILITY EASEMENTS.

A.  Utility easements with a minimum width of twenty (20) feet shall be granted to the town for poles, wires, conduits, storm and sanitary sewers, gas or water mains and/or other utility lines intended to service abutting lots.  No structures or trees shall be placed within such easements.

B.  To the fullest extent possible, utility easements shall be centered on or adjacent to rear or side lot lines.

C.  Utility easements shall be granted in accordance with the specifications and requirements of appropriate utility companies.
